Resilience can be defined as the ability to overcome obstacles on the way to a goal, without being distracted or overcome by the things that happen along the way.

By meditation on both success and failure, you can learn to cultivate resilience and keep your focus on your goals, resulting in more inner peace and forward progress towards achieving your goals.

Resilience training empowers you to change unconstructive behaviors, actions and ways of thinking. Training helps you develop four types of resilience to lead a more balanced and healthier life:

  • Cognitive — preserving attention, memory, judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Physical — maintaining well-being through regular exercise, a healthy diet and restful sleep
  • Emotional — approaching life with a realistic, balanced and flexible disposition and addressing rather than avoiding problems
  • Spiritual — practicing and keeping in mind the concepts of forgiveness, acceptance, compassion, and true meaning and purpose

Google's Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute's (SIYLI) 2-day curriculum can train you to develop resilience through meditation techniques. Dr. Bresciani-Ludvik is certified to offer workshops and retreats instructing the SIYLI program.   Developed at Google and based on the latest in neuroscience research, the Search Inside Yourself (SIY) programs offer attention and mindfulness training that build the core emotional intelligence skills needed for peak performance and effective leadership.
